The example of the libraries of the University of Padua
At Affluences, the university library sector is our historical sector. Since 2019, we have been supporting the University of Padua in the management of its libraries.

It is important to note that the University of Padua manages 20 libraries with a total of 2,554 seats.
In 2019, the then head of the University Library Centre (CAB) set himself the goal of improving the quality of library services.
How can we measure footfall in order to manage traffic flows? How can we communicate this information? This is where Affluences comes in!
The challenges ahead
Libraries have faced various challenges over the years.
They have had to acquire counting tools to determine the occupancy and usage rates of all libraries.
Added to this is the need to improve communication about employment and student services.
Following the COVID-19 health crisis, libraries have been forced to implement a seat reservation system in order to remain open.
Solutions provided by Affluences
To resolve these issues, the Affluences team proposed several complementary solutions:
Measure and communicate occupancy rates by installing our people counting devices.
Make our online booking system available for study spaces and library services in order to better distribute student traffic.
Continuously adapting the library service booking system during the COVID-19 health crisis.
